The XP1 was waterproof - the XP3 takes this to it's natural conclusion by being not only waterproof but capable of being totally submersed in water upto a depth of 1 metre and is IP-57 certified. The old model would withstand a 1.6 metre fall onto concrete whereas the XP3 is now upto 2 metres.

Other great features of this remarkable device include operational temperature range between -20C and +60C - so whether you're in the strongest sun or the coldest of weather, the XP3 will keep on chugging away.

The display is anti glare and shock resistant and the case is sealed against sand/dust/mud/dirt/micro particles so it can be used reliably in any environment. The speaker and volume also go VERY LOUD so you can be heard in just about any noisy location & it has a built-in torch too which is extremly useful.
